DELION designs and supplies engineered column internals that work as a system with trays and packings—so liquid and vapour are introduced, distributed and collected in a controlled way to secure stable hydraulics and column performance in both new builds and revamps. Custom-designed internals are built to meet process-specific requirements and to ensure optimum interaction with the packing.
Uniform liquid distribution is critical for packed sections; therefore, distributor selection is driven by process objectives (capacity, efficiency, pressure drop), operating range, and fouling tendency. DELION offers multiple outflow system concepts to match the service and achieve uniform coverage.
Outflow system options include: ground holes, drip tubes, splash plate, distributing pans
Outlet configurations can be tailored (e.g., bottom orifices, side outlets, drip tubes, angled discharge points, baffle-assisted weirs, pan-type distributors, structured-packing-integrated outlets) to achieve uniform radial and cross-sectional coverage

Packed columns are sensitive to both liquid and vapour maldistribution; therefore, vapour inlet design is critical and the geometry can be derived from CFD studies. A case example includes verification of vapour distribution for a large vacuum tower, with inlet device concepts such as radial feed inlet with side openings

DELION provides the key support and collection hardware required for packed beds and internals integration.
Support grid for structured packing
Gas injection support plate for random packing
Liquid collector chimney tray

Beyond distributors/supports/collectors, DELION also supplies a broader range of column internals and materials to match process and corrosion requirements.
Conventional & high-capacity trays; all kinds of valves; special gas distributors; demisters; plate separators
Materials include stainless steels as well as Copper, Titanium and plastics (service-dependent)
