DELION tray solutions are designed to improve column performance by delivering stable hydraulics, high mass-transfer efficiency and reliable capacity. We support both new columns and revamps, selecting tray type and internals based on service conditions, fouling tendency and turn-down requirements

Sieve trays are a robust and cost-effective option where fouling is limited and a wide operating window is not critical. Perforated decks are selected to meet capacity and efficiency targets.

Valve trays offer improved operating flexibility by allowing the open area to adjust with vapor rate (float valves) or by using defined fixed openings (fixed valves). They are often selected when turndown and stable operation are important.

Bubble-cap trays can be preferred where very stable contacting is needed across changing rates, or where specific hydraulic behavior is required. Selection depends on service conditions and column objectives.

Options for difficult services
For specific bottlenecks or unusual operating regimes, DELION supplies specialty trays such as:
Dual-flow trays
Baffle trays
Cartridge trays
Channel trays
Shell trays

Downcomer configurations
Downcomer geometry and placement strongly affect tray hydraulics and capacity. Depending on constraints and revamp goals, multiple downcomer concepts can be applied (e.g., segmental/tangent/cross-flow styles and other variants).
Performance upgrades for debottlenecking
For capacity expansion or stability improvements, we use revamp-oriented concepts such as enhanced downcomers and other hydraulic improvements to increase handling and reduce maldistribution risk.
Anti-fouling / stability add-ons (when needed
In challenging services, additional features (e.g., baffles/flow-conditioning concepts) can be considered to improve froth behavior and liquid distribution, based on service diagnosis
Send us your column data (diameter, pressure, rates, internals layout) and revamp targets. We’ll propose the most suitable tray and internals configuration.
