DELION delivers a complete packing portfolio for mass transfer applications, covering both structured and random packings. Our solutions are engineered to improve separation performance, stabilize hydraulics, and increase reliable capacity—whether for new columns or revamp/debottlenecking projects. Packing selection is guided by your process objectives (capacity, efficiency, pressure drop), the operating envelope (from vacuum to high pressure), and service-specific challenges such as fouling/coking risk and operability requirements.
Structured packings are selected when you need high efficiency, stable operation, and low pressure drop across a wide operating window—from vacuum service to higher pressure duties (depending on application).

DM Structured Packing is a widely used structured packing concept with broad industrial applicability. It is suitable for separation duties from vacuum to medium pressure, and can be used at higher pressure for certain applications.
Low pressure drop: pressure drop per theoretical plate 0.3–1.0 mbar
Wide liquid load range: approx. 0.2 m³/(m²·h) minimum to >200 m³/(m²·h) maximum
Model range (examples): DM64Y/X … DM750Y/X (various surface areas / porosities / thicknesses)

DM Plus is a next-generation structured packing designed by enhancing the geometry of traditional corrugated packing. It provides significantly lower pressure drop and can increase throughput capacity by up to 40% while maintaining comparable separation stages per meter.
Debottlenecking-focused hydraulics: continuous transition geometry at inter-layer interfaces helps reduce liquid holdup and mitigates localized flooding, improving operational stability across the column load range
Where it’s typically used: vacuum to high pressure, general duty; debottlenecking of existing tray columns and random packing columns
Application examples: chemical, petrochemical, and refinery services (e.g., quench columns, splitters, atmospheric/vacuum columns)

DM+ Gauze Packing is selected for very high efficiency with very low pressure drop—especially in vacuum to near-atmospheric services (typically below 100 mbar) and low liquid flow conditions.
Models: DM-BX500, DM-CY700 and enhanced variants (BX500+ / CY700+)
Excellent wettability at low liquid rates: maintains performance even at ~0.05 m³/m²h due to capillary diffusion effects
Typical uses: heat-sensitive systems, low-flow duties, test/pilot units with reliable scale-up
Materials: can be manufactured in stainless steels, copper, alloys and plastic (as required)

Metal grid packing is engineered for demanding applications where fouling, coking, particulates, or corrosive environments are expected.
Fouling resistance: smooth surfaces and open geometry reduce fouling and resist coking/solids accumulation
Operational robustness: low element height and smooth structure allow easier cleaning; mechanically robust construction
Typical refinery applications: atmospheric/vacuum tower wash sections and high-load pumparound sections; FCC main fractionator slurry pumparound; coker/visbreaker fractionator wash section; oil & water quench towers
Random packings are often selected for robustness, cost effectiveness, and revamps where a “drop-in” style packing solution is preferred.
DELION random packings are designed as direct functional replacements for well-known industry designs, offering comparable performance and reliability.
Equivalent model families: I-R, C-R, R-R, S-R, P-R
